Terms of Use

Effective date: April 1, 2026 · Last updated: April 1, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the IT-Hub platform at it-hub.io. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these Terms in full. If you disagree with any part, you must stop using the platform immediately.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering you represent that you meet this requirement. Accounts created by automated means (bots, scripts) are prohibited and will be terminated without notice.

2. User Accounts

  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must keep your password confidential. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately and contact us.
  • Registration information must be accurate and kept up to date.
  • One account per person. Multi-accounting, account sharing, or account trading is prohibited.
  • Usernames must not impersonate real people, brands, or organizations, or contain offensive, discriminatory, or misleading terms.
  • Usernames may be changed once every 7 days.

3. User-Submitted Content

By submitting content (downloads, discussions, comments, tutorials, ratings, suggestions, or game posts) you:

  • Grant IT-Hub a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the platform.
  • Confirm that you own the content or have permission to share it.
  • Agree that your content may be moderated, edited, or removed at our discretion.

You retain ownership of your original content. If you delete your account, your content will be anonymized (author displayed as "Deleted User") rather than removed, to preserve the integrity of discussions and threads.

4. Downloads & Software

  • IT-Hub links to software hosted on official vendor websites and repositories. We do not host software binaries.
  • Admin-verified tools ("Official" badge) have been reviewed and scanned with VirusTotal. This does not constitute a guarantee of safety.
  • User-submitted downloads are flagged with an "User Submitted" or "Pending" badge and may not have been reviewed.
  • You download and execute software entirely at your own risk. Always verify checksums and scan files before running them.
  • Submitting malware, adware, bundleware, or deceptive software will result in an immediate permanent ban.

5. News Aggregation

IT-Hub aggregates cybersecurity news from publicly available RSS and Atom feeds for informational purposes. All intellectual property rights in the original articles belong to the respective authors and publishers.

We cache article titles, summaries, and metadata. Full article content remains on the publisher's website. If you are a rights holder and wish to have content removed, email [email protected] and we will respond within 48 hours.

6. Points, Tiers & Shop

  • Reputation points are earned through genuine platform contributions (uploads, discussions, comments, ratings, referrals).
  • Points have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, sold, or redeemed for cash.
  • Points can be spent on cosmetic items in the Shop (badges, emojis, titles, flairs).
  • Tier promotions (Newcomer, Contributor, Trusted, Elite) are awarded automatically when point thresholds are reached.
  • IT-Hub reserves the right to adjust the points system, tier thresholds, or shop prices at any time.
  • Artificially inflating points (spam, fake accounts, vote manipulation) will result in point deductions and account sanctions.

7. Referral Program

Each user receives a unique referral code. You earn 15 points per successful referral (the referred user must complete registration). Milestone badges are awarded at 3, 5, and 10 referrals.

Self-referrals, fake accounts created for referral points, and any form of referral abuse will result in forfeiture of all referral-earned points and potential account suspension.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Upload, link, or distribute malware, trojans, ransomware, spyware, or any malicious software.
  • Post spam, unsolicited advertisements, or promotional content.
  • Manipulate votes, ratings, or points through bots, scripts, or coordinated behavior.
  • Create multiple accounts to evade bans or manipulate the system.
  • Harass, bully, threaten, or direct hate speech at other users.
  • Post content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or violates third-party rights.
  • Attempt to exploit, attack, or gain unauthorized access to the platform's systems or other users' accounts.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the platform beyond the publicly available RSS feeds.
  • Impersonate IT-Hub staff, moderators, or other users.
  • Circumvent any rate limits, security measures, or access controls.

9. Moderation & Enforcement

IT-Hub administrators and moderators may, at their sole discretion:

  • Remove, edit, or hide any user-submitted content.
  • Issue warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.
  • Deduct reputation points earned through abusive behavior.
  • Revoke shop items obtained through exploits.

If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, you may appeal by emailing [email protected] with your username and a clear explanation. Appeals are reviewed within 7 business days. The final decision rests with the IT-Hub administration.

10. Intellectual Property

The IT-Hub name, logo, design, and original code are the property of IT-Hub. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our branding or platform design without written permission.

Third-party software names, logos, and trademarks referenced on the platform belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

IT-Hub is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The platform will be available at all times without interruption.
  • The information, tools, or news content will be accurate, complete, or current.
  • Any software linked on the platform is free from vulnerabilities or defects.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IT-Hub and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to: data loss, system damage, business interruption, or losses resulting from software downloaded via links on the platform.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IT-Hub, its operators, and moderators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your submitted content, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your dashboard settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification) will remain in effect.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which IT-Hub operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via an in-app notification. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Your continued use of IT-Hub after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
